Garath is an accomplished educational leader with over 15 years of experience, spanning all aspects of school leadership and improvement. As the founding Principal of Doncaster UTC, he established its reputation as an oversubscribed and highly successful provider of technical education. His role expanded to Executive Principal of both Doncaster UTC and Hungerhill School, where he led significant improvements and fostered collaboration between the two schools.
Previously, Garath served as a Secondary Leader for Education, supporting schools across the North of England and the Midlands. His expertise and innovative approach to education have been pivotal in shaping successful strategies for school improvement and student outcomes.
Garath now shares the role of CEO of the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Trust alongside Helen Redford-Hernandez. Together, they drive a vision of excellence and innovation, cementing the Trust's reputation as a leader in education and employer engagement. His leadership has been instrumental in the development of Doncaster UTC, which joined the Trust in 2020, and in securing a successful bid for a second UTC in Doncaster.
